Hey. I've been trying to install the OOT pack but haven't had any luck. I'll click install from the manager and it will give me the progress bar, but doesn't show up afterwards. It just says available in the manager. I went into the packs folder in my downloads and nothing shows. Even tried downloading them from Github, and still no luck. I also tried installing one of the other ones for LTTP, same thing happens. Any thoughts?

I'm experiencing some issues on Hamsda's OoT pack (keysanity version). I was in the Bottom of the Well and the following checks are marked inaccessible: - West/East Inner Skulltulas - Fire Keese Chest - Like Like chest & Skulltula My tracker is accurate to my items, and I was able to reach them. I thought maybe it'd be an issue with marking keys, but no matter how many keys I marked for BOTW the checks never become available. I've tried checking off every item simultaneously to no avail. Other inaccessible checks (Zelda's Lullaby dependent ones) are responding as expected to toggling the items. Also strangely, the Adult Scarecrow Check in Lake Hylia causes other check groups to turn inaccessible, including the entirety of BOTW. But I can just ignore that for now. I'm getting worried because I'm almost completely out of checks in a multiworld, and I don't know if it's just these couple of BOTW checks that are borked or if there's more I haven't noticed.

I honestly have no idea what you are doing. ThinkDorm 1 key -> sequence breakable 3 keys -> they are in logic and that's exactly how it behaves on my end. Getting the adult scarecrow check should only mark your ocarina with a little scarecrow symbol, which will unlock more checks, but never make any inaccessible.

I had something come up on the Majora's Mask randomizer tracker made by rikkukun and epicyoshi today: When entering night 1 grave, the grave thought I couldn't open the door to the Iron Knuckle without Fire Arrows when I have Deku Sticks. Is that by design since sticks and nuts don't unlock anything in game or something else?

I want to check if the things I'm encountering with codemann's codetracker for z3r are normal, or if I'm doing something wrong. When I use autotracking in race mode (using snes9x and its luabridge connector), it seems that it autotracks things inconsistently and takes a while to catch up

It notices new items maybe 90% of the time, checked locations maybe 50% of the time, and what dungeon I'm in maybe 20% of the time. Sometimes it will automatically update these later, and sometimes I need to stop and start the luabridge to get it to update. After I do that, it tracks better for a while

my settings are criss-cross rando, so crossed door shuffle, crossed entrance shuffle, all the dungeon shuffle options, and key drop shuffle

@EmoSaru @codemann8 heres an idea to stop that problem when user settings is modified create a call that if a pack needs to make the changes it allows to do so and if not it prevents the change. In simpler term isolate the packs so they dont bleed into each other (edited)

#autotracker-support Only certain versions of Bizhawk work. 2.4.2 is the most recent compliant version. Also be sure you're using the Bizhawk connector.lua, and, if applicable, the Bizhawk variant of the package.

That means it is being loaded from a loose folder on disk, which is the dev workflow, rather than a managed zip file. This can happen if you unzipped a pack. (edited)

If I try to update CubeSolvers tracker, it fills the green bar next to it and goes right back to this still needing an update. If I click install on Deoxis's tracker, it fills the green bar and then goes right back to the install button and I don't have an option to load it.

Autotracking is no longer taboo in the OoTR community, but it's still banned for races and auto-tracking capable trackers are currently banned in races as well, so it's a bit of a tricky situation still. I'd personally hate to have Ham's pack be banned in races, and I dunno if all ET packs would be prohibited if any of them gain autotracking capabilities, or just individual packs that support it. I'm not in that sort of leadership role these days, so I honestly don't know where the current Race Mods would fall on that if/when it becomes relevant.

I think if Autotracking for N64 gets added to EmoTracker, I think the group involved with making those decisions would likely reconsider their position on it (being that EmoTracker is a very popular choice for OOTR), especially if some indication of autotracking being enabled is visible on the broadcast view. Having a problem with MM randomizer map tracker pack by Rikkukun, Pink Switch, and epicYoshi. I'm on version 5.0.2 of the pack. Using 2.3.8.11 of emotracker. I'm doing an allsanity seed and for some reason great bay temple in stone tower temple is marked as entirely inaccessible. I have everything required to get at least 4 chests there (I'm only missing the small and big key) so it should at least be orange?

Yes. Great bay is marked correctly as in stone tower. Weirdly it tells me that the stray fairies in great bay are accessible just not the chests.

Sorry for the late response, but if I'm not tagged directly I'm a little slow to see it. If you set the tracker to door rando mode, it sets the mirror item to the "mirror scroll" item which is a default item you get when playing a door rando seed. If you enable autotracking, the tracker will auto detect whether you have this mirror scroll item and will auto put you in a minimal basic door rando mode. If this is confusing beyond this point, I suggest asking the door-rando channel in the ALTTPR Discord more about this mirror scroll item.

As for the Dark Chapel, I don't have an icon specifically for this. The intention is to just use the Sanc icon (Zelda) for this to mark your starting place. Using the Sanc icon to mark the actual Sanc in Inverted has no point or purpose.

looks like, in locations.json line 2157 "access_rules": [ "can_get_passed_earth_temple,@can_aim_mirror_shield,@tingle_tuner_bombs" ], that its missing an @ in front of can_get_passed_earth_temple, similarly above on 2147 the same thing

There should be a new commit on my branch that should address a number of issues, but there is a HUGE ASTERISKS that I am only getting around to testing it AND the update is designed for dv_im 1.8.0g, which is neither out or main branch. Once I test it and fix it, I will work to get it functioning with main branch as one of the variants.

I'm using SMZ3's Alpha Keysanity Tracker. PoD Right Side Chests are shown as out of logic because I do not have the bow, but I was able to get them by mimic clipping. Is mimic clipping considered in the logic?

For SMZ3, the Z3 side's item placement logic is 100% glitchless, so you wont see green squares that require glitches. What squares are yellow is up to the pack dev. If it were my call, I would have the mimic bottle glitch set those chests to yellow, but not the wall clip. Wall clip doesn't require any special equipment, so is available as soon as you can access the dungeon, but does take some 1-frame inputs, putting it beyond the skill/hardware limitations of some players.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure yellow means you can see it but not collect it? Most likely referring to the item that would replace the heart piece around there. It could also mean you can only access some item locations in an area.

Yellow has some different meanings for different locations. World checks it usually means "possible out of logic with certain glitches/tricks," dungeons it usually means "can do some but not all checks." "See but can't collect" is blue.

Also worth noting with dungeons it's typically a case of key placement. Sometimes the tracker can't accurately predict how many items in logic. Eastern with no lamp for example could have all 3 items front loaded, or could have an item behind a dark room. So it would show as yellow because you may be able to collect all

No. I don't think it can actively be disabled, but all of my DPI settings are still at 100% (default). I'm doing some color correction via NVIDIA Control panel, and bumping my refresh rate to 144, but scaling is default for a 1080p screen.

Also at least for my pack, if you're only one or two releases behind you may be able to edit your save file manually and just change the pack version there to match the current version. That's what EmoTracker is complaining about, but in most cases the actual locations should be the same. No guarantees though. 😛 (edited)

Yeah, the big issue with maintaining it has been, I got a job, then I started developing my own branch of the randomizer. So as you can imagine, my attention is split and it's mostly my own fault. If you look on my github, the most up to date version is there BUT the locations file is designed for my branch and once I get that all working as intended, it should be a small change to a variant for Lago's branch

Alttpo is a coop script using a custom fork of bsnes with angelscript support. The dev, jsd, ported the snes9x qusb2snes lua bridge to angelscript and it works well, and later also added support for the connectorlua script used for emotracker and crowd control.

Realistically, we just run alttpo during multiworld for the sprite sync where we can see each other during the game without syncing items that shouldn't be, but in all other ways, it acts identical to running snes9x-RR with the luabridge.lua and connector.lua scripts

Yeah, the big issue with maintaining it has been, I got a job, then I started developing my own branch of the randomizer. So as you can imagine, my attention is split and it's mostly my own fault. If you look on my github, the most up to date version is there BUT the locations file is designed for my branch and once I get that all working as intended, it should be a small change to a variant for Lago's branch

It's nice to be able to track Dash, but not being able to support all the new connector configurations is a little frustrating at times, as I forget what random cave letter I've assigned to MI because it's accessible from West and similar things. ...And since I'm pinging you about that, I may as well include other items on my "wish list" lol... For volcano/caldera maps, would be nice to be able to track lava on the map, but that's more minor than being able to track connectors. A 3rd map toggle for tracking DM - since it can be your means of connecting West to East or to MI, etc, now, being able to mark where those connectors are would be dandy. (edited)

There's no "capture_item": true, for that item. It will never be blue as is. It probably should be capturable. It's definitely a spot you can see but not get. It's just that most times you can get in there, you can also get it. Something for Dorkmaster to think about when he sees this.

For me its not that unusual that I have access to that room but not that item. Since the room only needs morph+pbs+(gravity) but that item also need CanFly/Grappling/Speed. It would be nice if this was added in the future :) (edited)

Are you playing open world, or character gated? The map tracker defaults to character gated, so the pins will only show up when the check becomes available. If you are playing an open world seed you need to toggle the setting. Click the gear icon above the characters and then click the game mode to toggle to open world.

Note sure if this is actually relevant to your issue, but the tracker only marks where Important Things (characters, espers, that sort of thing) can show up. The numbers on the map just show chest counts, and aren't reflected in the tracker. (edited)

Poyu clip (with Grav suit) is something we've debated adding to Hard logic a few times, and while it's generally agreed that it was left out by oversite, not on purpose, no one has taken the time to fix it. It's kinda nice to have Shaktool more locked down rather than less.

Funny thing is it was in-logic in Tournament logic of v2.10 of total's SM rando, which is the basis for Hard logic.
Area = Maridia; Name = "Spring Ball"; Class = Major; Address = 0x7C6E5; Visibility = Chozo; Available = fun items -> canAccessInnerMaridia items && (haveItem items Ice || (haveItem items Grapple && (canFly items || haveItem items HiJump)));
"CanAccessInnerMaridia" is grav or hjb+ice+grapple (springball jumping not in logic 🙃 )

Personally I find autotracking has always been finicky with the smz3 package. Probably has something to do with the ROM using built-in savestates on game transitions and the lua script not handling them well. usually just stopping the script and restarting it fixes most problems

I haven't had any issues with solo however. Some OW spots don't mark as collected on the map until you transition to the next room. I think spec rock cave is one of them (Lost Woods drop spot is another, basically anything with a standing item not in a chest). (edited)

I havent played in a while and updated but OW spawn check seems to default to what would logically be where Link/Y.Link could spawn which is ToT/House but you can spawn elsewhere. Like my current seed is adult link > skulltula house > market bazaar exit but I cant mark as market exit cause it assumes that means that was a ToT spawn which is incorrect and then gives me child options. Hmm I am on roman branch though so spawning not at ToT/House might be a roman branch thing and nothing to do with your settings?

Since randomized spawns could spawn you indoors/etc I usually just mark where an OW would put me if I exited said place. But putting Market for the OW spawn again assumes thats where ToT is and everything is wrong. Panic

two main reasons I decided for the pack to work this way: 1) you'd need a unique way to track each house/grotto/whatever. given the limitations i'm working under with capturing spots, that would be extremely unwieldy. something like this really only works in something like mracsys tracker thats webbased with dropdowns and whatnot. 2) the vast majority doesn't even need to be remembered for later. like it would introduce so much extra clicking to mark that midos is somewhere, and then click off midos on the map with checks. you will never go back there later, so just click it away on the entrance map.

those two together basically made me do this split based on randomized stuff you need to explore and non randomized stuff that behaves like the regular map tracker

@Hamsda Something I did notice on the latest update of your tracker is that the Items Only (Keysanity) variant is wrong on the key totals now. Forest normal has max of 6, Fire MQ has max of 8, Water MQ has max of 6, Spirit normal has max of 7, Shadow normal has max of 6, GC normal has max of 3, BotW MQ has max of 3, and GTG MQ has max of 9. Was this done on purpose for them to have just the max number of keys no matter what? I checked the other variants and they aren't like this. (edited)

@codemann8 During my last couple games with Berserker's Multiworld Door Randomizer and also his Archipelago randomizer I've noticed that the Tower of Hera Basement location is often listed with red text despite the Auto Tracker correctly marking the location as explored/obtained. Yep you're right. For now there's this issue where clearing a entrance designation doesn't update the destination. I set Eastern Palace to be Tower of Hera and then I cleared the ToH designation, the actual Tower of Hera square remains lit as green and accessible when it shouldn't

nah you need to beat DC (step in the blue warp) many triggers are dungeon based in the vanilla game and have been moved to items or dungeon prizes instead it works mostly though

“fixed” is a bit debatable as a description, since technically right now it works in the only sane way given that pack devs have free reign to use version numbers how they see fit. The change, if I make it, will require devs to start all using them the same way. No need to be a jerk to somebody, but any time somebody has a question, #faq IS the first place they should look. So, EmoTracker accidentally updated my package and now I can't open my tracker file to the package. Is there any way to go back an update so I can play my randomizer without being totally lost. I tried to look through the file but it didn't help seeing as how all of the chests i marked as collected are formatted very weirdly so I can't guide myself into using it, also it will take too much time and I wouldn't want to play the randomizer anymore. If you want more information, I use the Hamsda Ocarina of Time Map and Item Tracker. Thank you in advance.

theres 2 options: if you edit your save file with a text editor, you can try and change the version at the top to match the version of the pack or you can grab the older version of the pack that matches the version you see in the save file

I want to use the most recent version for the bug fixes, so I chose to do the update edit on the json file. I also changed it to key sanity because I am an idiot and forgot to enable it. I tried to make a new file and paste the update into my randomizer one but it isnt working. Is there a tutorial I could follow or anything to help?

Regarding SMZ3, maybe been mentioned but there's a lot of checks that are shown to be unobtainable in Hard mode when in fact they are. It seems like the rule is just, no yellow checks allowed in hard mode in SM, but in normal, there are yellow checks that would be OoL in BOTH modes. Which I don't get. I understand it's meant to show logic but why make OoL normal checks unobtainable in hard?

Croc escape is a bug, I'm fixing that. For reference, that spot requires "can hell run" which is at least 5 tanks on hard. In Maridia, worth noting that full suitless is not in logic even on hard. So if you can do that, yes you can get most things in Maridia that aren't in logic. (edited)

I kind of figured that, and so, I get it. But yeah there's a few other instances where things are yellow on Normal, but blue/red on Hard. I'll see if I can find where I made notes of those in the past. Now to the update you sent through, it looks like you...made a yellow square, red now. I guess that uh, fits with the mantra above but might I suggest kind of a modification of something else you said, "It also lets you know what might be required of you on hard if you're thinking about moving up to that level.". So we could like, extend this to having meaning in Hard as well, where yellow checks can represent that which are accessible via well-known and "race-legal" methods; that would show players what could be expected to be effective in a race. I know me anyway, starting on Normal, I only would think to learn about things by seeing a yellow square; it's like hm, ok what makes this accessible and how? I know "well-known" is subjective, and SM race rules vary...way more than they should. But if it would help I can make suggestions as we go. Only because it'd be nicer than doing overrides. Ice clip to shak is very common and red here for one. And I mean I can't do it lol but it just comes up a lot. "If Hard had yellow squares, it would be yellow there, but that's not an easy room with 3 tanks." If you had to run clear from the entrance shaft around crumble and back that'd be fair sure but there's a refill farm past one room past Croc, room temp even. Always available regardless of CF ability. So yeah, racing, I've learned that as much as they say Zelda's broken, SM is WAAAY more so. I guess there's like 6 ways into shaktool for instance. Above all though I do wanna thank you for your time on this pack. I wouldn't know jack without it tbh. Just thinking of some things I think could improve it.

Well the idea is it lets you know "hey if you were on hard mode, this would actually be in logic" so you can look further into the logic on the official site from there if you want. On the other hand, the LTTP logic includes some sequence breaks for allowed glitches (basically copied from the official LTTPR pack, although there's only one difficulty for LTTP currently) so we have some arbitrary sequence breaks shown already on one side... I guess I'd be willing to add some for SM, in principle. (edited)

I set a save state before picking up the item, use bizhawk's memory watch feature and determine what is static before picking up the item while doing other things, changes once I pick up the item and then is static again

nevermind, it was me. I didnt realize the Missile Launcher was a separate toggle from the missle capacity, that may want to be adjusted later for the tracker since it would stand to reason if you have 5 missile capacity, you must have the launcher...unless rando MP2 will give you expansions but wont let you use them until you find the launcher

in the MP2 tracker (once again im doing plain vanilla) ive gotten to the point where im suppose to go to the spiderball guardian, so first entering the Sanctuary. however the gate for the sanctuary in Temple Grounds shows blue on the tracker and is showing to be locked behind a cobalt door, which it is not, its an emerald door. Also i think because of this, the logic for that section is defaulting to having both spider and cobalt when both are actually gotten there. the only way to show any checks in Sanctuary is to say you already have cobalt and spider which i do not

It seems to imply that i must do the Quadraxis skip which i niether know how to do nor want to do even if i did. You mentioned about settings for vanilla translator gates, which seems to imply there are settings that im not seeing to adjust the conditions of the map tracker. I'm having issues updating the Wind Waker tracker, it says an update's available, but it won't finish installing it. It's not a Firewall issue either, since I can still install other trackers/packs like usual. I also tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it from both EmoTracker and from the tracker's page in GitHub, but it still says an update's available for it.

i found a weird logic bug with ALTTP - inverted map tracker where the catfish check was still marked as undoable (red) but i had light world access (had to kill aga), a mirror and flippers which would let me get there via the whirlpools in light world then mirror into dark world to do the check

yeah I'll take a look... also skimmed thru the conversation from a week or so ago, not sure if it was mentioned, but orange simply means there is at least one sublocation here that is not obtainable and at least one sublocation that can be obtained (seq break included), so see more detail you hold left click on the orange square to see the individual access to the sublocations, this is a base emotracker feature that cannot be circumvented in any pack (edited)

Hmmm, something seems amiss with the Wind Waker map tracker. If I left click an inventory item to indicate I possess it locations will show up as green, if I right click the item to indicate I don't possess it more locations will light up as green, cycling between left and right click a couple times will keep adding more locations as accessible (to an extent). Just toggle the Wind Waker (or any other item) item on/off to reproduce. (edited)

Yeah I haven't worked on it in a while. I had a big update in the works but COVID hit and my depression got pretty bad for a while. I have started to play Wind Waker Randomizer and I installed the tracker by Darkened5ky, and I cannot seem to find where to enable dungeon entrance randomizing. On the GitHub, the README states that dungeon entrance randomizing was added in version 2.0.1.0, and I don't have the option for an update so that means I am on the most recent version 2.0.2.0. Is it hidden away, or am I just blind. This issue could heavily impact my game, thank you in advance for helping.

At this time, it just assumes that if you can get to DRC, all are potentially in logic. The eventual plan is to make there a "found" item for the dungeons, but there is no setting.

The presets icon is a customizable preset loader. Cycle through the presets with left click and load with right click (some settings might require an extra right click since they depend on other settings). To customize the presets, please override scripts/user_presets.lua and edit to your liking. I hope the structure is fairly straightforward. Which setting number corresponds to which setting can be found in items/options.json (0 based indexing).

Pretty much everyone uses Hamsda's pack if they use an ET map tracker; the problem is new users who don't ask for recommendations/read the Wiki and like the aesthetics of this pack more, not realizing that its logic is really off from contemporary OoTR logic.

I put an outside pack into C:\Users\ [name]\Documents\EmoTracker\packs and it doesn't show up in Installed Packs. I remember seeing/experiencing this issue before, but don't remember what the fix is. I've confirmed I'm on the current version, 2.3.8.15. (edited)

I remember there being case sensitivity within zip files, so if there are Lua scripts trying to load files that aren't exactly referencing the filename, a file folder can find it fine, but a zip it cannot

yeah I figured I'd have to do it myself.. it was annoying getting into the randomizer and finding out the randomizer page that lets you track entrances doesnt even let you save the list, and using the pack for this program doesn't even have the entrances listed

But I can't find anything about it in the rando, so I will just ask and you just answer if you can. first, I'm wondering what the mundane setting does (rupee icon) second, what the moon setting does (majora's mask icon) third, pre town nut (nut icon) fourth and last, the settings for the bosses (all the boss mask icons)

1. Mundane refers to non-chest locations that normally only give minor items, like the lottery or the non-Goron treasure chest game rewards. 2. Moon setting refers to the locations in the moon itself, though I barring glitches, I don't know how relevant those spots would be for a regular run. 3. Nut icon is for the chest in pre-clock town that has deku nuts, which can only be reached via glitches in rando. 4. Boss icons are for dungeon shuffle, if needed. (edited)

Yeah sorry, automating the creation of an environment variable doesn't help since you still need to know where Documents is located in the first place. So the dea of having Lua create an environment variable is a bust (unless the user could specify the path during the creation process). (edited)

@codemann8 Finally got a chance to try it out, I either did something wrong, or the steps did not work for me. I did follow the chain of steps, and to my knowledge did everything properly, but after reloading the pack, and even after closing and reopening Emotracker, it does not seem to work.

In my case the included example was exactly what I needed to do, which made it that little bit easier to grasp. ie: I used CONFIG.DOCUMENTS_FOLDER = "D:\\" I can see how the exclusion of Documents on the path could mix people up, as you're supposedly defining where Documents is located. Typing a path that ends one level above its location just seems odd. (edited)

On Normal the 3 items beyond Bowling need space or grapple or varia+2 tanks or 3 tanks (plus PBs and speed for Reserve). On Hard it's just varia or 1 tank (2 for the shinespark). And yeah, wave would make the reserve item viewable.

You can get there without pbs in non-keysanity too. Current fill algorithm means it doesn't happen (always at least 1 pb pack in sphere 1), but crossproduct makes plandos, which throws the fill algorithm out the window. You can get to WS without bombs or screw by going through the Maridia portal, killing Dray, then going through Cactus Alley to get to Forgotten Highway. With screw+grav, you can go through Botwoon Hallway to Aqueduct, down a sand pit, then up the Toilet to Forgotten Highway. Then your first bombs can be at Ocean Missiles or Moat.

@codemann8 I noticed what seems to be a logic bug in the ALTTP Map Tracker with respect to accessing Ice Palace. Playing a seed earlier tonight, IP was orange as expected since I didn't have a glove. Once I got my first glove, it went from orange to green. I was using autotracking in race mode, but I just recreated it without my console powered on and it still did the same thing. Having a quick look through dungeons.json, it looks to only be expecting lift1 for access.

hey, many of my packages have the issue that they don't load images properly, whether it is for the map or for an item I completely deleted my entire package lib and also reinstalled emo tracker many times, what can I do to fix that?

couple things, either youre using a 4K monitor and/or you are using scaling in your OS display settings, those 2 things can cause issues (edited)

My suspicion since it started with an OS update is that your user folder isn't the same as it was, or the permissions on it aren't the same

I also completely removed the Emotracker folder in .../documents and reinstalled emotracker (so it creates a new folder in documents and it still doenst work :/

I haven't ran it ever since I updated to windows 10 which is like... a month ago I will go ahead and check if there are updated

hmmm, so my best bet is to get windows to the newest version? idk why it isnt up to date really, I will look into it tomorrow or are there any other ideas you may have on how to fix this?

You might try the .net framework repair tool https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135, or just reinstall the 4.x files (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2088631) ? (Linked to the latter since the repair tool will try to get whatever files it needs from microsoft, if your windows update hasn't been finding new updates for 2 years I wouldn't be surprised if this tool had trouble connecting to microsoft on its own as well)

like in windows updater it told me to update to .net framework 4.8 and that updated happened and I restarted and now it says I'm on the versin 10.0.19044 which is 2 higher than what I had previously

I'm on 19044.1645 (21H2) I check my version by clicking the Search option on the taskbar and typing in Winver Perhaps you're now on a Windows Insider (beta) build? keep us posted on if the repair tool resolves the issues. (edited)

Depending on where you check it 21H2 will show as either how Flesh177 reported it (how it is shown in System Information) or how Nicholas showed it (if you run winver)

Fingers crossed uninstalling and then reinstalling the .net framework will clear up the issue, if that doesn't do it I'm really at a loss at whats going on here

there is an issue in the logic in inverted in the hookshot cave access, with the hookshot, the activated flute, the mirror and the moon pearl you can access it. I would recommend asking if they are actually impossible in the LADXR discord first. I don’t know your background, but there are often ways to access things that new(er) players of a given game are not yet aware of.

That pack uses Lua custom items, and if they're doing non-deterministic things in their init path, issues like that can arise.

There was an issue i had where I was dynamically loading custom Lua objects using a Lua table with no numeric indexing, which doesn't guarantee the same order when loading it, so I had issues with Save/Load. I suspect something similar is probably happening here

I think the general design of the base lttp tracker is to mimic how it shows in the pause menu, to make it easy to visually look at and plan out menuing. A combo pack makes sense to combine things tho, for space reasons

I fixed this now. Had to just make a change so it stores values as false rather than nil so the save file structure consistently has the same amount of properties in it.

That’s interesting, and not what I expected the issue to be. Can you describe the issue briefly in a bit more depth so I can see if there’s a case to be made for handling load there differently? It’s hard to say whether this is an “error” that’s reasonable for the load code to assume is safe.

After inspecting the save files myself on the old version, I noticed that on items that hadn't had a particular change made to them, only one of the two properties was present. Each of them is supposed to have two; one is a simple active property which is either 0 or 1, behaving as expected, and a more complicated item property which was set to either nil (now false) or the name of the item that it was set to. This is achieved by right-clicking the item, followed by right-clicking another different item. Using a local look-up array the image of the item set is then added as an overlay to the existing item. Due to being set to nil, the property was not getting passed along to the save file. This in turn caused the load to try and set a value that didn't exist.

Some locations are missing in the wind waker randomizer, like the Chu Cave on Pawprint Isle is missing, and 2 of the wizrobes on the platforms north of dragonroost are missing as well.

Found a small logic bug for the ALTTPR inverted-Tracker: When Flippers, Mirror and Moon Pearl is selected, Catfish will turn green. Seems like it doesn't check, if you're even able to access the LW to begin with to go that route

Quick question for Codemann8, don't wanna tag, cause I'm not sure if it's alright, but I had a very small issue with the auto tracking recently, it's not a big problem as I track it in my notes on my notepad anyway, but when doing Pottery Lottery(Crisscross, shopsanity, keydrop) The Crystals/pendants aren't tracked properly, when I complete a dungeon, it gives me a completely different crystal and sometime doesn't register it at all. If I try to manually turn off or on which ones are appropriate, after a while it revert it back. I assumed it's probably because of Door shuffles for dungeons, but in actuality, I have no idea. but here's an example, you can see I got all my crystal and one pendant and it's completely different from what the tracker shows. Like I said, it's really not a big deal, just wanted to flag it in case it hadn't been already.

Btw great job on whatever you did, it's already insane to me that it auto identify the amount of checks there are per dungeon, it's actually pretty sick, for mid late game to know how many check you have left per, feels really good for routing purposes.

@Yu Have you updated your DR-Volatile codebase recently? This was a problem in how Volatile was writing the dungeons completed flags, but should be fixed in newer versions. (edited)
